Tap And Unwrap

For Chocolate Orange lovers everywhere.

Grainy OOTD post, nothing more.
Kate Spade coat - not quite this lurid in real life.
Hermes Mocca Jumping boots - finally broken in,  black ones still pending.
Bompard cashmere jumper and leggings.
Poker straight hair which makes me look like the terrifying woman in The Ring.

This is my winter cheer outfit,  I defy you to stay po faced when you see a giant satsuma walking down the street.

Mai Tai's Hermes Mocca  jumping boots - such a wonderful image.

  1. Lovely. I love a colorful winter coat-so much better than the drab staples of browns, blacks, and navys. Winter needs color!
ps you could never look terrifying

    1. Bebe, you need to consolidate under 1 name (with stylish avatar) so word gets out on your fab blog.

    2. Oh dear-this was a bit short sighted of me. I tried to consolidate when I started the blog but Google was giving me the business and I gave up in a huff. I spent almost a week trapped in Google+
Bebe has always been my name when Im at home.
gsl- you are a charming patron! xx

  7. I knew your Kate Spade would make a cameo before the Spring thaw. I'm warming up to the color but those toggles tell me it's not very fitted and I do love a shapely silhouette which you most certainly have.
As I mentioned on Pinterest, there is nothing worn where quality is more discernible than women's boots and that buttery soft leather of Hermes' is as good as it gets.

  8. Stylish as ever. Love the boots and the coat is perfect!

Julie: It's becoming an every day coat now, it felt so conspicuous at first.

GSL: you would have all of us in corsets and heels every day if you had your way.

You look like a bright light on a dark day. I've been craving colour too.
Do you flat iron your hair to get it that straight?

    1. Wendy, this is just my simple 'uniform" style of dressing, leggings and a jumper, it's the coat that makes it stand out.

Hostess: I curl and straighten my hair with an Instyler, I really like it as I fns it easier to use.

  22. Had to laugh at The Ring..scary shit. Your OOTD is effortless yet so unordinary ( gosh I'm getting old I can't remember if that's a word. Oh well). I actually got out of my sweats and wait for it, wait for it, put on some jeans today. So friggin chic I can't stand it.

  23. It kills me every time you show an outfit with those boots!! Fabulous coat too, the colour is enough to lift anyone's spirits, especially at this time of year. Terry's Chocolate Orange is a favourite around here!

Louise: I wear this sones more than th eblack, I really need to persevere with the black ones, they rip my set to shreds.

    Thanks Linda.

  26. Ruth, just checked, sorry it's N Peal, my black v neck is Bompard, I probably think of the cashmere hierarchy as Brunello Cucinelli, which I'll never be able to afford followed by Jonstons of Elgin/ N Peal then Brora/Bompard but I also have great cashmere form Marks and Spencers, I'm an equal opportunity fluffer.

  27. Well, those boots are sensational. Definitely worth the blisters and tears of pain to get them to a point that you can walk in them.
Love the orange on you, you'll be brightening the streets of Edinburgh on a gloomy day. xx

  28. Ah Bourbon, it's been too long since I visited. How I've missed your little corner of grace and beauty on the internet!

  29. What an awesome outfit! Love every part of it. On the boots, is the leather really stiff? They look fantastic, how wide is the shaft?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The leather is stiff but it's the 'jumping' part that makes them feel awkward, and a bit difficult to size as your heel move ups and down all of the time, I have no idea of the width.

    2. Vava - I have looked everywhere for my tape measure, can't find it, I will say that I do have 'Frenchie bone structure' and I love the narrowness of these boots on the calf.

  30. Ha! You'd make me smile in a heartbeat. You are always so lovely.

  31. Tap and unwrap...dying! So gorgeous! That coat looks far better on you than it did on the KS model!

  32. Oh my gosh delishimo! That coat! those boots! now I wish it got really cold here so I could be a lolly too. And yes agree with Rebecca above (BTW we need to see your straight hair!) you look better than the model in that coat

  33. Those boots are die-for, of course, but that coat is gorgeous, too. I can't wear persimmon, but I do like to wear a big swath of blood red with my black leggings and riding boots when the weather turns cold enough to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Love your oh so glamorous OOTD!

  35. The boots are stealing the show. I would own them if I lived any place where it dipped below 50 degrees.

  38. Dear Satsuma, please come our way, sick of blending in my Barbour and comfie Dubarry boots....your coat would not survive our lashing gales/floods you are fairing better up North with the weather. My full permission to keep GB!!

Are the Hermes uncomfortable they look so glam...but would they survive striding the Shires?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Judith: at that price I'll be sticking to my Dubarry boots for the Shires. We are having the best winter, it's shocking at your end of the island just now.

Thanks Eva and Pret a Porter P!

  47. I am dreaming of Hermes riding boots, but wouldn't know whether to go black or brown...decisions.. decisions. Your orange is spot on for SS14, but in a more appropriate fabric, it always makes me laugh that any one would consider buying summer clothes when we are waiting for snow!
